*pant* Well, just got back from a short walk around the complex (I restrain myself from the term neighbourhood), and it went pretty well. I listened to Cory Doctorow's reading of a excerpt from his new young-adult novel, and the iPod and the new (cheap) armband worked pretty well. I may need to get some actual trainers if there is to be more of this.
The story snippet was , well quite well done. It starts off very hip and young and quickly slides into teenaged romance, which he presents well and it draws you in (or did me). The story of those characters steadily builds in the foreground while a demonstration (well, a concert) is getting underway in the background. I don't want to spoil anything for y'all but the mood changes abruptly when the Ministry of Safety arrives on scene.
