FedEx Home Delivery is a lousy joke
Behold the note I left, and the door tag they stuck 6 inches from it. Note carefully the polite request to leave the package referenced and the signature. Glance at the checkbox for reason the package was not left: signature required.
Marvel that having confused their chatbot and reached a human named Marquesha I was told that "home delivery service" drivers do not make it back to station before it closes, and so they will reattempt delivery or I could come pick the parcel up tomorrow.
I am so annoyed I almost want to refuse it and make the vendor ship it back UPS or postal. Gah. At least they will either leave it on the stoop or let you come get it. The fact that the delivery location, my location, and FedEx are all well within 5 miles of each other is not making me less annoyed in any way.

They never deliver correctly here, they lie about attempted deliveries, they frequently leave boxes (if they manage to leave them at all) that are completely soaked through, EVEN ON SUNNY DAYS DURING A DROUGHT (whut?).

Sure .. wait, no. Nice try though.
If my handwritten signed and dated note with the track # is not good enough (?!) for their procedure then it should have been possible for me to find their form on their bleedin' website this morning before I left the house or picked up a sharpie. I glanced around.
If this is actually an issue (?!) then their handhelds need cameras as well as scribble pads. Also, I seriously doubt they did what the definition of 'home delivery transitory signature required' (or whatever) said in some cute popup on the Track Package page and checked with neighbours before giving up. they need to try harder, and as noted, I need to not ship with them, certainly not using this bogus option.
