Minor updates
Just added in a pile of people who had apparently 'friend'ed me without my realizing it. I even know who, say, 30 percent of them are. The rest of you may feel free to clue me in or not.
Also, I added everyone on the gaming thread, and a few other interested parties to
adric_nano. ( jew_manor_gameing is too long, and after five more tries I lost interest. ) Please check your email so you'll be added to that community. I'm going to go start a new thread there now.
Other than that, I may be in the process of realizing that I am standing on a major decision point. Or not. There is definitely a great deal of potentiality somewhere nearby.
I'm getting closer still to actually buying a PDA. Advice and suggestions welcome. I'm still looking at the Palm Zire 71 vs the Sony Clie ? (same price point).
Even less interesting: Lost post detailing my recent hacking and reading, but I beat Neverwinter Nights finally. I've made a few more baby steps with wxPython, and also, strangely enough with Lisp. For the wx stuff I've been hacking through the newbie parts of the Obstacle Course tutorials on the wxPy wiki here, and weirder still for Lisp I've been working through an online course taught by psychometric software (at Uni Trier). The software is pretty impressive, and I'm learning some LISP (although none of the headbreaking stuff yet). That's here . I have also fooled around with Squeak (although not with Smalltalk) and failed to get Croquet to run (*grumble*).
